Andrew A. Finck (1784-1872), son of Major Andrew Finck of Montgomery County who served in the Revolution as field officer and recruiter, moved to Manheim in 1804 and built a __ on the Mohawk Turnpike and operated a ferry bringing patrons from across the Mohawk. His home is still there on River Road with beautiful pillars.
Manheim was one of the largest __ producing towns in the county with 9 factories in the 19th century.
The Inghams Mills __ Church was built in 1841 using native stone quarried nearby - the same stone used in the old Daniel Green factory nearby.
Zenas (1803-1883) and Candace (1806-1875) Brockett are noted __ who housed escaped slaves on the Underground Railroad on their Manheim farm.
The Little Falls & Dolgeville Railroad stopped at a __ station at Inghams Mills, owned by the Empire State Dairy Co. that shipped their product to Brooklyn. The station was considered "one of the finest of its kind in the state."
